Clips by Plastic overview

Clips is a Mac app for musicians who promote their songs with ads. Drop in a song and your own footage, and it cuts a vertical video for every part of the song (intro, verses, chorus, bridge), on the beat, with the lyrics synced word by word. Run them all as ads, see which part gets the cheapest clicks, and spend on that one.

  • One video for every part of the song, in one batch
  • Cut on the beat, with the lyrics synced word by word
  • Layouts in six families, and effects you can preview on your own video
  • Exports vertical 1080 x 1920 for Reels, Stories, TikTok and Shorts, or square 1080 x 1080 for the feed
  • Runs on your Mac, with your own footage

What's new in version 1.0.1

  • Square posts for the feed, and the right layout in fewer clicks.
  • New: square posts for the Instagram feed (choose Square under Format on Export)
  • New: layouts in six families: Bold, Serif, Gothic, Clean, Ornate and Script
  • New: point at an effect to watch it play on your video before you pick it
  • Better: a simpler text toolbar; Text 1 and Text 2 keep the size you chose
  • Better: a new song is ready sooner, most of all on Intel Macs
